Disinfection - Surface disinfection (large areas)

Applying the ready-to-use disinfectant or the disinfectant solution on surfaces and floor coverings using a suitable cleaning cloth to kill specific microbes and deactivate viruses. Suitable for cleaned, dry, water-resistant surfaces (e.g. floor coverings).

Preparatory work

Select suitable products to match the surface to be cleaned (type / square metres) and the type of soiling.
Put up the warning sign.
Pre-clean soiled surfaces (e.g. ceilings, walls or floor coverings) and leave them to dry before disinfecting. Disinfect infectious soiling first.
Fill the bucket with disinfectant in accordance with the dosing instructions.
Remove any loose dirt as needed (dust-binding mopping or dry vacuuming).

Main task

Disinfect the surface using the pre-wetted or lightly wrung-out mop in a single work step, applying light pressure. Apply a sufficient amount of disinfectant. The entire surface must be wetted. First disinfect along the edges and under furniture, then the open space. Work backwards towards the exit in slightly overlapping lines.
Observe the specified contact time of the disinfectant! Leave the surface to dry.
Perform a visual check.

As needed:

Rinse the surface with water, then remove the water using a thoroughly wrung-out mop or a scrubber-dryer.

Final steps

Remove the warning sign once the surface is dry.

Wash used textiles in the washing machine.

Dispose of any waste.

Clean the cleaning equipment and replace as needed.
