Filling pores - Protective treatment

Applying the pore filler to the floor coverings using the application tool with a cover. Suitable for porous, absorbent, water-resistant, non-textile floor coverings.

Preparatory work

Select suitable products to match the surface to be protected (type / square metres).

Put up the warning sign.

Completely remove stubborn dirt, care products and protective treatments with the suitable cleaning method as needed (e.g. wet scrubbing and wet vacuuming).

Allow the floor covering to dry completely as needed.

Check the absorbency of the floor covering: Perform a water test.

Remove any loose dirt (dust-binding mopping or dry vacuum cleaning).

Main task

Pour a little bit of undiluted pore filler onto the floor and use the application tool with the cover to apply it evenly, moving in slightly overlapping passes (circular motion). Leave to soak, distribute any excess pore filler. Work backwards towards the exit.

To apply additional passes, pour a little pore filler onto the wet area and spread it as described above. Repeat this step until the entire area has been treated.

Always lift up the application tool from the floor like "an airplane taking off” at the end.

Allow the floor covering to dry completely.

Check whether the protective treatment is sufficient: Perform a water test. Repeat the protective treatment as needed.

Perform a visual check.

Final steps

Remove the warning sign once the floor covering is dry.

Rinse the cover and wash it in the washing machine.

Dispose of any waste.

Clean the cleaning equipment and replace as needed.
